2007/07/26 - College Summit Workshop at Concord University Held July 26-29, 2007

The students shown in the above photo are upcoming Seniors at Matewan High School. They participated in the College Summit Workshop at Concord University along with Angela L. Varney, who is a Business Teacher and College Summit Advisor at Matewan High School, and served as a Writing Coach for the workshop. By the end of the work- shop, the students had completed a college application form, learned about financial aid, compiled a list of recommended colleges for application, written a personal statement for college admissions, and explored what it means to be a leader.
