Family and Hobby Information: I am married to Larry Varney, retired special education teacher for Mingo County. We have two children, Alonzo Varney and Vicki Crum; three grandchildren, Heather, Israel, and Gabriel; and one great-grandchild, Brittany. My hobbies include gardening, painting, and watching game shows.

Degree and certification information, work experience, current teaching assignment: I have a Master’s +45 degree from Marshall University with certifications in Multi-Subjects K-8, Mental Impairments K-12, Learning Disabilities K-12, and Behavior Disorders K-12. I have been teaching for seventeen years at various schools throughout the county. I currently teach students with disabilities through inclusion practices in the subject areas of math, science, and social studies, and provide accommodations to students as needed in other areas.
